How It Works
Saw palmetto inhibits the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase, which converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Elevated DHT is a key driver of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). By reducing DHT levels locally in prostate tissue, saw palmetto helps maintain normal prostate size and reduces pressure on the urethra, improving urinary flow.
